Men's & women's tennis shut out Wagner
On Sunday March 23 the men and women’s tennis teams took on Wagner College in their second home matchup of the season. Both teams shut out their opponents from Staten Island, New York in dominating fashion with scores of 7-0. Both teams are looking to peak at the right time as they prepare for the MEAC Championships on April 17th.
On the men’s side, standout freshman, and current MEAC Player of the Week, Ismael Kaouache recorded an impressive win at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-2, and partnered with sophomore Myron Davis at No. 1 doubles for the first time this season to win 8-4.
On the women’s side, senior Katelyn Stokes continued her stellar season posting another victory at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-1. Stokes, who has lost just once this season, will look to lead her team to a MEAC North Championship in the coming weeks, which would give the team the No. 1 seed going into the MEAC Championships in late April.
